I should be thanking you! Matt had a fantastic time. The counsellors and instructors were great, he learned a lot, and had tons of fun. His only complaint was it was too short, and he'd like to do two weeks next summer. Please let us know when registration opens for next summer. Enjoy the rest of your summer!

Hi Guys! I wanted to let you know that Caleb placed as a regional champ in the Southern Vermont Snowboarding Series in Slopestyle and Boardercross. He will be going to the USASA nationals in Tahoe next week to compete and the national level. He proudly displays his WSSC sticker on his helmet. This past Saturday Caleb did an interview with RSN and totally gave props to WSSC and his coach Brian from WSSC. Tell Star I said Hi! See ya soon. PS Caleb is #8 in the pic.

Yall are awesome! Both Zeeshan and I had a blast in Whistler and I know for a fact that our trip would not have been nearly as great if it were not for all of yall. Everyone there made our trip what it was. We could have gone snowboarding at numerous locations, but the people are who made our trip special and unique. Yall have found the secret formula for a successful camp and I hope you foster that formula and allow it to grow.

Heart felt thanks goes out to everyone on the staff who helped to make our camp experience special. I know for me that this was a very special vacation in my life b/c it marked a huge step: graduating from college and going on to my first real job. This point in my life is ridden with cloudy thoughts about my future and what path I should pursue. The individual conversations I had with coaches and counselors really helped elucidate the things which make me happy in life. I know I learned a lot about snowboarding, but honestly, the 180's I will forget, but the advice and conversations about life will stay with me forever.

This goes to every single person on staff: If you ever come anywhere near Texas, please look us up. Yall will always have a place to stay. I will obtain a permanent email here in the next couple of days as my university email will expire here pretty soon. I will make sure to keep yall posted on what's going on in my life and I hope that all of you do the same. I'm interested to finding out how yall are doing during the 3rd week of camp when you have 120 campers!

Take care and much thanks for providing me with one of the best vacations i have every had,

Aabir M

Dear staff,
Just wanted to thank you for the snowboard camp. My coaches John and Kevin (as well as the other coaches) were extremely helpful and friendly, as well as the rest of the staff, particularly Richard. Thank you for a wonderful time this summer.

Dear Mr. Young;
I am writing a glowing letter of appreciation. Your fine magazine guided me to attend Whistler Summer Snowboard Camp recently, and I found it a truly wonderous experience. As an older snowboarder (52), I've been riding for six years, but improved dramatically the very first day at camp. The other campers thought I was a staff member at first, but I kept assuring them I was a "camper" too. There is a definite place for adults wanting to learn more about their passion, and I think Greg Daniells and Christian Saxvik are running an exceptional educational adventure opportunity.

Aside from catching big air the first day, I was happily reminded of what it was like to be among "friends" sharing a common interest. The very first day I felt I had known Greg, Christian, and several of the gifted coaches all my "long" life. As a therapist I am pleased to see well honed people skills in use.

Although I could have had a single room, I opted for a couple of roommates. It has been thirty years since I have had that experience, and it was great. I felt as though I were in an episode of "FRIENDS". Sharing meals with Greg, Christian and Todd , my coach, were an added -bonus to the experience. That "hang time" with these humble, good humored advanced instructors reminded me to spend more time with my friends when I got back home.

All said, I couldn't be happier. Great people make for a great Those guys are definitely on my Christmas card. list.

Sincerely,
C Mardus

Letter from A Dennis, UK
Dear Christian, Greg and all in Whistler
I just wanted to say THANKYOU for an awesome two weeks of camp. Leaving on Friday was a bit hectic and I didn't have a chance to say thanks properly. I had the BEST time. I always love snowboarding but this time I left really inspired to keep riding and improve, improve, improve! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH. My riding has got way better and I have lots of good points to work on. The coaching was great- thanks Dan and Todd and Rick. It was a memorable and totally worthwhile 2 weeks, I really hope I can come back next year but I'm sure I'll be in Whistler at some point over the coming winter so maybe I'll see some of you around! Whistler is a place I'm longing to come back to as soon as I can, a great place to live!

Your Camp is great. Keep it going. I'll be back for more! All the best.

A. Dennis

I would be happy to speak with potential campers or parents of campers. Last year I was able to speak with a parent from the Chicago area who was a great help to me easing my conscience regarding the program, the safety issues and ultimately helped in my decision to send Zachary to camp. I stayed in Whistler village while the kids were at camp and it was a terrific experience for all of us. I would appreciate that if you have someone calling us that they do so between 7 and 9 p.m. EST. See you in June!
